How to pronounce my name: [ gIgɛ ]

  I was born in Buenos Aires (Argentina) in January 2, 1962. Some years later my family moved to Mar del Plata, where I attended the elementary school Escuela Provincial 32, José María Paz. In December 1975 my family moved again to Asunción (Paraguay) where I continued my studies at San José School. Afterwards, I started Physics at the Facultad de Ciencias Exactas y Naturales of the Universidad de Buenos Aires. In 1996, I got a Postdoc position at Universidade Estadual de Campinas (Unicamp, Brazil). In February 1999 I became a full time professor at the Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie, teaching both to undergraduate and graduate levels at the Escola de Engenharia, and in the Ciencias e Aplicações Geo-Espaciais (CAGE) Graduate Program, and researching at the Centro de Rádio Astronomia e Astrofísica Mackenzie (CRAAM) .

  In 1989 I married Marcela Claudia Marciani. We have two sons, Santiago (Buenos Aires, November 15, 1992) and Manuel (Campinas, July 28, 1998).
